The water we consume is a finite natural resource. It plays a vital role in our quality of life, recreation, agriculture and economy. We recognize that our usage contributes to climate change, health and well being, and the environmental quality of the communities we serve, therefore. UCF advocates for and employs water management efforts to reduce consumption, preserve scarce resources, and reduce our contribution to water shortages. Having enough water to meet our needs while protecting our environment is critical. Our team is implementing innovative technologies and water recapture to reduce our overall environmental footprint. Our students have also contributed to the universities commitment to water conservation by conducting research in coastal preservation, stormwater management, as well as drinking water quality, treatment, storage.
